Technology: Wireless Mesh

Installation of a 57-node mesh network along Coastal rail line enabling other projects like security cameras and voice systems. System featured as public transit industry pilot.


Technology: Real Time Transit Information

Real-Time Customer Updates of vehicle arrivals via iOS, Android Mobile Sites, and Texting. Used COTS tools from NextBus, custom XML, and GPS. Project Budget: $1.1 million.


Solar Installation: Bus Maintenance Facility

Roof-Mounted 185 kW solar installation at bus maintenance facility. Project Budget: $1.1 million.


Sustainability: Operations Plan

This project to create sustainability plan for operations at a light rail facility, including recycling, safety, water controls, lighting replacement, and energy-efficiency strategies. Project Budget: $20,000.


Sustainability: Electric Vehicle Chargers

Test installation of 7 electric vehicle charging stations at a main public transit hub. A proof-of-concept conducted with the assistance of the Department of Energy’s EV Charging project through Ecotality.


Solar Installation: Carport Demonstration

This project installed a 75 kW solar carport at the main Oceanside Transit Center. The proof-of-concept demonstrated that carports were viewed positively by transit customers could achieve reasonable ROI. Project Budget $450,000.


  • Solar in Rail Right-of-Way

Solar Installation: Rail Right-of-Way

This project installed a photovoltaic laminate designed for harsh environments within 20 feet of the railroad tracks to prove feasibility of solar in non-traditional spaces. Project Budget: $345,000.


Solar Installation: Data Center

The Data Center Solar installation project implemented power generation capacity to 100% offset the power demands of the data center, allowing the data center to achieve a 15-year payback period. Project Budget $290,000.


  • Rail Maintenance Solar Project

Solar Installation: Rail Maintenance Facility

Project Manager for installation of a $1.9 solar investment at Escondido, CA light rail maintenance facility. Project included the repair of roofs, remediation of a bioswale, and drip irrigation mesh system.


LEED® Certified Silver Data Center (Registered)

Built the public transit industry’s first LEED Certified Green Data Center. Project/Program manager for $1 million investment project. Data Center projected to have a less than 15 year Return on Investment.


Technology: Security Camera System

Project to upgrade security camera environment from analog to combination of analog and digital cameras integrated into one OnSSI console; implemented 45-day network digital video recording system.
